Economists aren’t effectively communicating how AI is going to reshape the economy. Many don’t know which intellectual “crutches” upon which to rely to make sense of the technologies impact. Is it more similar to electricity? The internet? Or, as a broader phenomena, similar to the creation of fire? The industrial revolution? Globalization?
