Sundance Film Festival is my favorite event to kick off the new year. Nothing rebuilds my excitement for the film industry more than a fresh perspective. That’s why the indie showcase is always the perfect palate cleanser. Sure, you’ll feel like you’re in the town from True Detective: Night Country once you leave any theater in Park City, Utah, but the festival is actively searching for a new host city. Much like its indie slate, Sundance is full of new ideas.
