Literature of the Revolution

In my mid-teens I developed an obsessional interest in revolutions. I thought of this as a political stance, although when I look back on it now I realised that the idea of the ‘world turned upside down’ was attractive to me because I was miserable and I wanted the world to be difference and I wanted to be in charge of myself. It was a typical teenage feeling, although it was also the point in my life when I started reading Marx. I’ve forgotten the theory now and, because I didn’t have anyone to guide me, I’m not sure I understood it in the first place.
