The Banality of Biopics

It seems Hannah Arendt has become a mainstream figure, at least one worthy of the financial risk of a biopic. She has also become increasingly popular among leftist writers and thinkers, who at the very least will concede the novelty and originality of her writing. But in this film, she has become something she never really was: a martyr.
